Nail Reveiw: OPI Liquid Sand

Ok so I wanted to do something different and do a nail polish review! Hope you like it!

My friend got this nail polish from her Glossybox package. It's from OPI Liquid Sand by Mariah Carey "Can't let you go" This one is a glittery purple color (purple has been my favorite color lately :D)

This new polish is suppossed to have a sand-like texture when it dries out. At fist I was a little grossed out by this. I'm not really a fan of textured polish ei: caviar nails (it just looks creepy). But I wanted to try something new so I tried it. It first, It looks like any other nail polish that you put on. But then when it dries you can totally see the sandy texture form.

Suprisingly, I love it! It's not creppy looking like the Caviar nails and it looks totally cool! I had to put on like three coats so that the polish shows more. I also didn't top this one with a top coat because the sand effect goes away. But, if you want you can put a top coat. :)

One thing I have to say about this is that I wish they have  non-glittery nail polish colors. I think using solid colors would bring out the sandy effect even better. But with that said, overall I love this polish and totally recommend it to you guys. If you want an effortless but cool nails this is a great polish to use.

Check out their site here! They're a little pricey for nail polishes (I'd usually spend at most $2 for nail polishes. LOL :D), but if you got extra bucks then by all mean buy this. :)

How to: Pink and Gold Hearts

Hello guys long time no...blog :) So just in time for Valentine's Day, I created a perfect nail art tutorial. This was so easy to make and super fun I hope you guys love it.

Make sure you prep you're tools!! I almost forgot the scissors!! :S lol Forget the sponge I was going to do an ombe but decided against it.

I used a hot pink polish (NYC Long Wearing polish in 109 "Pink Promenade Creme") on my ring finger and used a milky colored polish on the rest of the nails (Wet n Wild megalast pollish in 203B "2% Milk"). Let dry completely!!

Whoa! @ tutorials in one?! WHAAAAA!! :D

How to make a heart stencil

1. I used those tapes with a matte coating cuz they're less sticky...but whatever you have it's all good... :D
2. I would usually bad the tape on the back of my hand to remove excess glue.
 3. Now fold the tape in half and cut a heart. Remember when you were in kindergarden and when you wanted to make a perfect heart you'd cut out half to the heart on the folded part....ohhh i miss kindergarden better than college that's fo' sure. ;P
 4. Now would ya look at that beaut!

So now on to the nail art...

Now tape the stencil to the nail. and paint over with a glittery polish (I used Julep polish in "Oscar") This polish was a small fine glitters which is good using big glitters would mess up the shape. Anywho... Put 1 to 2 coats and slowly peel off the tape. Peel off while it's still wet.

And there ya have it folks! a perfect heart <3

You can do this on just the ring finger and leave the rest bare... But, the ever dramatic me, I wanted it to all my nails..lol

And here you are, a Valentine nail art tutorial....Till next time <3

Quick Update:
I got back to school last tuesday and so far so good. I missed Mon and Tuesday classes this week cuz of flu but other than that everything is doing great. Please comment and tell me what you guys think <3 Thank you!

Hey guys!! So my mom wanted me to do her nails tonight for tomorrow night's New Years dinner. It's a really basic glam nail. It's a great go to nail art if you want a quick but fancy looking nails :) So guys, I welcome you my mom's nails :D

Okie Let's get started!

Step 1:
Make sure you do two coat of a base coat. I know I always say this but if you want long lasting nails, you need to put a base coat. This nail hardener
with green tea by Nutra Nails is amazing!

Step 2:
Apply two coat of a color of your choice.
My mom wanted this red nail polish with a golden tint to it.
This is color is called Jodie from Julep.
Check out their nail polish here!!

Step 3:
Let it dry for about 1 to 2 min. Then
starting from the tip create a faded glitter effect
on your nails (with the most glitters on the tip).
Depending on you're preference, you can do this 2X in order to get more glitters on your nails.
I used Spit Fire #991 by Pure ICE nail polish.
It has a pinkish glitters. <3

Step 4:
Finally coat it with a topcoat.
NK polish Blue Diamond is fast dry and
so cheap. I got it at a beauty store for $1!!

Tada! Say hello to the finish product. I mom is currently in love with these nails :D. Her Birthday in on Jan 3 so feel free to leave her some love on my page!! <3

Color of 2013 inspired nails: Emerald

Hello there my pretties... So I'm so obsess about the 2013 color of the year. Emerald is such a gorgeous color.

So for my new years nails art, I didn't want to do a typical whimsical nail art. I wanted something elegant. So I decided to do this nail art. I hope you guys love it! Happy New Year!!! <3

Step 1:
Clean nail and appy one or two coats of base coat.
I used this nail harderner base coat with green tea by
 Nutra Nail.

Step 2:
Appy a light minty green polish on all four nails except
the ring finger nail.
I use this nail polish by Sinful Colors called Mint Apple #947 (it's a sparkly pale mint green)

Step 3:
On the ring finger nail, color this with a dark green
nail polish. I got this polish from Sinful Colors called
Last Chance #948. It's a mossy green.
Only do one coat of this.

Step 4:
Let the nails dry for 1 to 2 min. Then, using the dark green agian,
do an ombre effect on all on the nails (excluding the ring finger nail). I used a make-up sponge and dabbed it carefully in my nails.

Step 5:
Now on the ring fingernail, coat this with a green glittery
nail polish.
I used Sinful Colors nail polish called Call You Later #932.
Coat this 3 times

Step 6:
Finally, make sure you finish off your nails with a top coat
I used NK Blue Diamond top coat.

Alright! that it! It's a original design by me. All on the products I used at drugstore and beauty store bought and all under $2. Again have a safe and amazing New Years! God Bless you!

California Poppies Nail

First off I want to apologize for being MIA. I've been to cramp with school and house work that I've neglected this blog and my nails. I've been stress lately so I've reverted back to biting my nails :(. However, I've been nail biting free for 2 weeks now (hoooooray!!!!).

So anywho, enough about myself let's get back to nail art...

I was browsing through YouTube as usual and came across this really cute nail tutorial. So I whipped out my nail polish bag and did it!

To be honest, it was harder than I thought. You have to be really good at painting and drawing to do this right.

So here are the steps:

1. Remember to put your base coat first.
2. Coat you're nails with a white nail polish
3. Then, with a toothpick carefully draw out clover-like petals in red polish. Make about four sets of petal
4. Add the flower stem using a thin long brush. Use green polish
5. The dab yellow polish on the center of the red petals. Then dab black polish on the center.
6. Lastly, put a topcoat and let dry...

Voila! you have just created California poppies on your nails. :D

Here's the link to the tutorial that I found on YouTube:
